Women Football   June - The BVI was represented in the FIFA Under 20 women Tournament in St.Croix, in June 2007.  Two players were eliminated because of passport issues, but we managed to complete the tournament with the players we had.  The BVI lost both matches played against the USVI.   CFU WOMEN’S U-20 PLAY-OFFS DATE TEAM SCORE 13/07/07 US VIRGIN ISLANDS BVI 19 0 15/07/07 BVI US VIRGIN ISLANDS 0 12           September - The BVI Womens’ team participated the 2008 Olympics qualification tournament in the Dominican Republic.  The BVI came up against the Dominican Republic, the USVI, and Cuba.  The team preformed competitively despite losing all three matches.  There were much discontent amounts the players about their accommodations at the Olympic Center in the Dominican Republic.   GROUP B   DOM CUB VIR BVI DOM   1-2 4-0 17-0 CUBA 2-1   14-0 21-0 VIR 0-4 0-14   5-0 BVI 0-17 0-21 0-5               November - A few women have formed a women football committee on Virgin Gorda, with the intention of developing women teams and empowering women in football.  This is a FIFA initiative that would also be done on Tortola.
