BVI Participates in Masters Tournament

September 10, 2007   - The BVI Football Association has selected a sixteen men squad to represent the BVI in an invitational masters tournament to be held in St.Kitts this weekend.  The master tournament is in celebration of St.Kitts and Nevis Independence, and will feature pass football greats from Antigua, BVI, St.Kitts, Nevis, St.Martin and the USVI.    The tournament is opened to players above the age of 38, with special awards for the eldest player on each team.  The BVI team ranges from the age of 38 to 63 years old.   The BVI squad is made up of:   Elroy Mandraka Mills – Captain Llewellyn ‘Tudor’ Dasent – Vice Captain Joseph ‘Big Joe’ Ollivere – Player / Manager Marcus Butler Bernard Grant Kenrick Grant – Player/ coach Jeffery ‘Zamby’ Demming Caswal Pondt Roger Pondt Elvis ‘Halland” Demming Kenmore ‘Silk’ Simmons Raphael ‘Pope’ John Dion ‘Ragga’ Clarke Winston Potter  - Player/ Trainer Brewston Brown Anthony Bramble  The BVI team departs the BVI on Friday September 14 and Returns on the 16 September.
