On Sunday February 13th 2005 a combined British Virgin Islands squad will come up against a team from the US Enterprise Navel Training Ship. The match will kickoff at the A.O. Shirley Recreation Grounds at 5:30 pm.

It is a tradition for the B.V.I Football Association to host British Naval Ships in friendly football matches whenever they make duty calls to our port.  But it is very unusual for the U.S Navy to visit our shores.   Technical Director Ben Davies is hoping to use the opportunity to tryout some new players on the National Team.   The US Enterprise team is made up of young recruits on their Naval School training exercise, and is expected to be very skillful.  “We have a very strong team, with players that can play for any college team in the U.S.   We are no walkover team.” Were the  words of ship’s recreation officer.
